The Red Sox added to their bullpen on Wednesday, acquiring righty reliever Jorge Alcalá in a trade with the Twins.

The Red Sox are 34-36 and down two righty relievers with Liam Hendriks and Justin Slaten on the injured list, so they’ll hope Alcala can find his form and help cover some innings from the right side.

The Milwaukee Brewers are sending the 30-year-old right-hander to the Chicago White Sox, according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal. Civale had asked for a trade earlier this week after the Brewers moved the long-time starter to the bullpen.
