Iran's state news agency reported that Iran has fired hundreds of ballistic missiles toward Israel as part of its retaliation for Israel's Friday attack on Iranian nuclear and military sites. IRNA said the Iranian military had dubbed its operation Severe Punishment.

Iran launched three retaliatory waves of missiles at targets in Israel on June 13, as Israelis rode out the attacks in bomb shelters and world leaders discussed the deepening conflict. Plumes of smoke rose over central Tel Aviv and at least one building was hit and set ablaze.

Tension in the Middle East remains high, as Iran and Israel exchange fire. Iran says that the U.S. is complicit in the initial Israeli strike on their nuclear program, Iran will no longer participate in the sixth round of nuclear talks with the U.
