For those hoping Cillian Murphy could be en route to another Oscar nomination with his role in the Peaky Blinders movie, that dream is one step closer with a recent update. Creator Steven Knight has been teasing what fans can expect from the feature-length follow-up to the series,

The Peaky Blinders ‘ creator, Steven Knight, is hopeful the upcoming film will be shown on the silver screen. Knight, who also wrote the hit Netflix show, recently told The Playlist about the highly-anticipated film that finished shooting a few months ago and it’s star-studded cast.

The original series ran on Netflix for six seasons from 2013 to 2022 and, after years of speculation, a “Peaky Blinders” film was officially announced in June 2024. Cillian Murphy will return as star and producer and Tom Harper is set to direct.
