Some mandatory evacuations remained in place Tuesday night for a vegetation fire in El Dorado County near Shingle Springs.The fire is burning in the area of Old French Town Road at Bonanza Auto Road,

Bonanza Fire initially started 2:31 p.m. June 17 in El Dorado County, California. It has burned 181.2 acres after being active for 19 hours. By Wednesday morning, 15% of the fire was brought under containment. The cause of it is still under investigation.
