Flash floods caused by torrential rains in a remote village in Indian-controlled Kashmir have left at least 56 people dead and scores missing, according to authorities.
Scores of people were killed in rain-related incidents across Pakistan on Friday (August 15), according to a daily report issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). In Pakistani-administered Kashmir, at least 11 people were killed following a cloudburst and flash floods, according to a disaster management authority official.
