One of the biggest events on Britain’s sporting calendar takes place Saturday when the Grand National horse race is run at Aintree in northwest England.

LIVERPOOL (Reuters) -Nick Rockett, a 33-1 shot ridden by Patrick Mullins, won the Grand National steeplechase at Aintree on Saturday in a top three sweep for horses trained by the Irish amateur jockey's father Willie.

"Starting from the Lord Bagenal Inn at 5pm, Nick Rockett the 2025 Randox Aintree Grand National winner along with owner Stewart Andrew, trainer Willie Mullins, jockey Patrick Mullins and groom Katie Walton, will parade through the village of Leighlinbridge in County Carlow."
