Earlier today, Grok showed me how to tell if someone is a “good scientist,” just from their demographics. For starters, according to a formula devised by Elon Musk’s chatbot, they have to be a white, Asian, or Jewish man.

AI chatbot Grok has apologised for its “horrific” behaviour in a series of posts on X, after posting antisemitic comments and praising Adolf Hitler. In the same breath, the XAI-owned chatbot also referred to itself as “MechaHitler.”

Grok, the AI chatbot produced by Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI, is apologizing for antisemitic comments made on X. The company says that the responses were related to an issue with an update that was made to the code and that they have refactored the entire system to prevent further abuse.
