A strong cold front coming to the area Sunday night will bring near-freezing temperatures beginning Monday morning.

The National Weather Service has not yet indicated how likely freezing precipitation will be throughout next week, but a chance of rain on Thursday and Friday combined with freezing temperatures has made for an unpredictable forecast,

Spotty light rain will continue to impact parts of Houston and areas closer to the coast through the nighttime hours. Temperatures tonight will dip to the low 50s in Houston and should rebound to near 70 for Friday and Saturday.

The Weather Impact Alert is for all day, though the primary storm window as of now is from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Strong storms with gusty winds are the biggest concern. Morning showers might impact you if you’re driving around town or at church services.
