Bruins' Jeremy Swayman has every reason to be furious with teammates
The Boston Bruins were supposed to play one of their biggest games of the season on Sunday afternoon when they hosted the Buffalo Sabres for Game 4 of their Eastern Conference first-round series.
BOSTON (AP) — Josh Doan had a goal and an assist during Buffalo’s four-goal first-period, and Alex Lyon stopped 21 shots to lead the Sabres to a 6-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Sunday for a 3-1 lead in their first-round playoff series.
Alex Lyon emerged with a stellar performance in Game 3 to rival Swayman, but with only one start under his belt and Swayman’s excellent home splits (.920 SV% and two shutouts), the B’s are primed to bounce back.
