Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. 500247 slid 1.36% to 1,893.40 Indian rupees Tuesday, on what proved to be an all-around grim trading session for the stock market, with the BSE SENSEX Index 1 falling 1.

India's benchmark indexes advanced on Monday, led by gains in Kotak Mahindra Bank and Wipro after their better-than-expected quarterly earnings, while the focus shifts to the U.S. policy framework with Donald Trump set to take oath as the President.

Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank on Monday jumped more than 9 per cent after the firm posted a 10 per cent growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 4,701 crore, aided by the performance of capital markets-linked arms. The stock surged 9.15 per cent to settle at Rs 1,919.60 apiece on the BSE. During the day, it zoomed 9.68 per cent to Rs 1,929.

The consolidated net profit of Kotak Mahindra Bank increased by 10.22 per cent to Rs 4,701 crore in the third quarter of FY25, from Rs 4,265 crore in the same period last year. The private lender saw a 6.8 per cent decline in the reporting quarter, with a net profit of Rs 5,044 crore for the July-September quarter Q2 FY25.

Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank on Monday jumped nearly 10 per cent after the firm posted a 10 per cent growth in its consolidated net at Rs 4,701 crore, aided by the performance of capital markets-linked arms. The stock surged 9.66 per cent to Rs 1,928.65 on the BSE.
