Patriots coach Mike Vrabel puts reporter on blast

Vrabel was hired seven months ago to recalibrate a team that hasn’t won a playoff game since its most recent Super Bowl win in 2018.
Wide receiver Jeremiah Webb, cornerback Carlton Davis and safety Josh Minkins were placed on the non-football injury list (NFI) on Saturday. In addition, tight end Austin Hooper, wide receiver Mack Hollins, offensive tackle Vederian Lowe and linebacker Jahlani Tavai were moved to the physically unable to perform list (PUP).
During Tuesday's press conference, Vrabel fielded a handful questions from the media, as is the norm. The moment the presser took an edgier turn was when the Boston Globe's Ben Volin asked what Vrabel thought of the players returning to their first training camp practice after the NFL offseason, with an emphasis on their conditioning level.
Entering his fourth season as a Patriot, Brenden Schooler has gone through training camps with Bill Belichick and Jerod Mayo. On the eve of training camp, following a full offseason of camps, Schooler was asked what was different about the start of this training camp.
Because after months of introductions and roster deconstruction and reconstruction, meetings and plans and installation and OTAs and non-padded minicamp practices, real football is coming. And so is the Mike Vrabel Experience for all to see. “We all need accountability,” Hunter Henry said Tuesday, “and he brings that every day.”
