The biggest storyline from the game was the Cardinals using their video board to show a highlight of former first baseman Matt Adams hitting a three-run home run off Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw in the 2014 National League Division Series, which St. Louis won in four games.

It’s been 11 years since former St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Matt Adams hit the go-ahead home run in the series-clinching Game 4 of the 2014 NLCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers.The clutch three-run shot came off Dodgers future Hall-of-Fame starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw.

The Dodgers visited St. Louis for a three-game series that concluded with Kershaw on the mound on Sunday. Before the game, the Cardinals played a video from Game 4 of the 2014 NLCS of Matt Adams’ go-ahead three-run homer, which was hit off of Kershaw.
