For me, and baseball lovers from Philly just like me, Allen was life-altering. After a nearly 50-year wait, he was immortalized in the Hall.

The 2025 class, which featured Ichiro Suzuki, CC Sabathia, Billy Wagner, Dick Allen (posthumously), and Dave Parker (posthumously), was inducted into the Hall of Fame Sunday in Cooperstown. COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (WPVI) -- Phillies legend Dick Allen was, at long last, inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Allen hit 351 home runs and is one of just 26 players in baseball history to win both a Rookie of the Year and MVP awards. He played in Philadelphia for nine seasons over the course of his career.
Tom Hamilton joined Jimmy Dudley and Jack Graney in representing Cleveland as winners of the Ford C. Frick Award.
Dave Parker's Hall of Fame plaque reads, "Superstar outfielder delivered on the confidence he brought to the ballpark."
