With pick No. 245 overall in the seventh round, New England selected Alabama‘s Jam Miller. The 5-foot-10, 209-pound back clocked a 4.42-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and led the Crimson Tide in rushing last season.
New England then went with defense at No. 212 with TCU LB Namdi Obiazor. The Patriots also filled out their QB room in the seventh round, taking Texas Tech’s Behren Morton at No. 234, then did the same with their running back room with Alabama’s Jam Miller.
