Prince George’s County police are warning residents about a disturbing online extortion scheme where predators coerce victims into sending sexually explicit photos and videos, then threaten to expose the material unless money is paid.

On Wednesday, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Prince George’s County Police Department was notified by school security personnel that a firearm had been recovered from a 13-year-old male student’s bookbag. The investigation revealed that other students had alerted school officials about the possible presence of a firearm, prompting the search.
