After Saturday's Speedway Classic was suspended by rain in the bottom of the first inning, the Reds were forced to pivot and improvise, and could have their pitching situation affected for days to come at a critical point of their season.

The Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds played less than a full inning Saturday night after a 2 1/2 hour rain delay.

The Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves already started their one-off game at Bristol Motor Speedway on Aug. 2, but it was twice delayed by rain before it was suspended. Aug. 3 will see the times pick-up where they left off and attempt to complete a full game.
