A winter storm watch is in effect for parts of Massachusetts on Tuesday, Dec. 2, with the National Weather Service predicting more than six inches of snowfall in some areas.
Boston will see mainly rain, but here's a look at forecast snowfall totals for interior portions of New England.
DEDHAM, Mass. — The Boston 25 Weather team is tracking a midweek storm that’s expected to bring snow and rain to Massachusetts. Meteorologist Shiri Spear issued a Weather Alert for Wednesday, noting in her updated weather blog, "It won’t be a significant event, but there will be a few slick spots."
As heavy snow continues to blanket the region, road crews are on the streets of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, to keep the thoroughfares of Berkshire County’s urban hub clear.
A slushy coating to 2 inches of snow is expected to fall in areas outside of Boston. Parts of Worcester County will see 2 to 4 inches of snow, and northern Worcester County and points west can expect closer to 4 to 8 inches.
