The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in West Fort Worth early Sunday morning.

An altercation turned fatal Sunday night in a Fort Worth neighborhood, leaving two people dead after a shooting on Asheville Lane, police say.

Officers were initially dispatched to the 6500 block of Routt Street regarding a call about a shooting. Police ended up in the backyard of a residence in the 3000 block of Forest Ave. and found the man suffering from “gunshot wounds to his upper body/torso,” a news release from the department said.
