Sunday was a beatdown for the Houston Texans. A gut punch delivered by a surprise Minnesota Vikings team left Houston sick to its stomach rather than celebrating a 3-0 start. The 34-7 rout marked the widest margin of defeat in the DeMeco Ryans era.

Trailing 14-0 in the second quarter of Sunday’s rout by the Minnesota Vikings, the Houston Texans were trying desperately to put points on the board before halftime to get back into the game.

Right now, after 3 weeks, the Texans record sits at 2-1. On the defensive side they played pretty good against the Vikings, but run defense was not up to par and needs to be improved moving forward as they gave up over 100 yards to RB Aaron Jones who averaged over 5 yards per carry.
