(CBS DETROIT) — An EF-0 tornado touched down in Holly on Sunday night, the National Weather Service confirmed Monday morning. The tornado, which had an estimated path of one mile and, at its largest, was 50 yards wide, began at 6:56 p.m. and lasted for two minutes.

Storms that brought gusty winds to mid-Michigan on Sunday spawned a weak tornado in southwest Gratiot County, the National Weather Service said.

Officials with the service's office in White Lake Township said Monday that an EF0 tornado touched down Sunday at about 6:56 p.m., southwest of Holly in Oakland County. It had an estimated peak wind of 70 mph, NWS reported.
