ATLANTA — Georgia and much of the Southeast are bracing for a winter storm that is expected to hit on Saturday, bringing substantial and disruptive freezing rain and ice accumulation.

Monday morning: Dry with ice on the roads due to re-freezing of Sunday’s rain. Wind chills will be in the single digits for most of north Georgia. A cold weather advisory is in effect from 4 AM until 10 AM for wind chills 0 - 15 degrees.

Atlantans are in for a soggy stretch of weather mixed with another wave of arctic air. CBS News Atlanta meteorologist Dagmar Midcap says that will likely mean the Atlanta metro area and rural parts up north could see more snowflakes this weekend.
