BOSTON -- Charlie McAvoy returned for the Boston Bruins against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday. McAvoy had missed the previous 11 games after he was hit in the face with a puck in a game against the Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 15, an incident that required facial surgery.
The Bruins just got Charlie McAvoy back in the lineup, but the team suffered a couple more injuries in a 6-3 win over the Jets on Thursday.
And for good reason, it turns out, as the Bruins welcomed McAvoy back to their lineup (one game after welcoming Pastrnak back) on Thursday night, and rolled to a 6-3 win over the Jets at Winnipeg's Canada Life Centre.
David Pastrnak had two goals and two assists to lead the visiting Boston Bruins to a 6-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.
The Bruins activated Charlie McAvoy off injured reserve Thursday, and the standout defenseman returned to the ice against the Jets in Winnipeg.
Boy, are the Boston Bruins happy to have their best forward and best defenseman back in action for their surging club.
