The West Coast Health Alliance recommends newborn babies be vaccinated for hepatitis B, at odds with updated guidance from a CDC advisory panel.

President Donald Trump announced via Truth Social on Friday he signed a memorandum to review the 72-vaccine schedule required for all American children from infancy onward.

An influential panel of US vaccine advisers voted to revoke a longstanding recommendation that all babies receive hepatitis B shots within 24 hours of birth, a move expected to reverse the country’s progress toward eliminating the disease.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued health warnings for India and Haiti after rabies cases were seen in travelers.

"Things have not improved," writes Dr. Debra Houry. "They have worsened. And Congress has still failed to act."
