Cheltenham High School has ended its football season amid an ongoing hazing investigation, according to the school district.

Changes to make football safer have met resistance at all levels—even from the highest office. In a September social-media post, President Donald Trump called the league’s new kickoff policy “‘sissy’ football” and said that “the NFL has to get rid of that ridiculous looking new Kickoff Rule.”

"Additional information came to light indicating that hazing and/or inappropriate physical conduct may be occurring more broadly in the [football] program," Cheltenham's superintendent said.
