A big change in the way Houston Police cooperate with Immigration. ICE agents will now have 30 minutes to respond to calls from Houston Police when they are dealing with people ICE wants to arrest.

Whitmire commended the Houston Police Department's work and said the city has worked to protect residents without legal immigration status by avoiding confrontations.
