National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologists have issued widespread warnings across the Pacific Northwest as an atmospheric river moves onshore, bringing the threat of floods, strong winds, and heavy rain.
A winter storm warning is in place for parts of the Upper Peninsula, including western Mackinac County until Tuesday morning. On Monday, Dec. 8, Sault Ste Marie received 7.5 to 9.8 inches of snow in different locations, according to NWS snowfall reports.
“Strong winds are forecast for Dublin Airport over the course of the day, which has already resulted in airlines cancelling a number of flights. As of 7.45am, a total of 42 flights had been cancelled, including 21 inbound and 21 outbound.
