Thanks to late scoring from a struggling Jalen Brunson, the New York Knicks stole a victory from their crosstown rivals.

Jalen Brunson was held to 17 points but delivered the go-ahead basket with 2:18 remaining for the visiting New York Knicks, struggled on offense for most of the fourth quarter before making enough plays down the stretch in a 99-95 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday.

Jalen Brunson scored 34 points to lead the New York Knicks to a 119-110 win over the Atlanta Hawks. It was the 68th 30-plus point game in Brunson’s career as a Knick, and it helped New York improve to 28-16.

Jalen Brunson finished the win with 34 points, one rebound, six assists and one steal while shooting 12/18 from the field and 3/5 from the three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.

Brunson now boasts 17 games with at least 40 points as a Knick, tying him with Carmelo Anthony for the third most in franchise history. Patrick Ewing, who achieved the feat 30 times, and Bernard King, who did so 23 times, are the only players in Knicks history with more 40-point games.
