AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson will face AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada in a match where Danielson’s title is on the line for the entire 60-minute time limit, but Okada’s is only on the line for the first 20 minutes per Continental title rules.

AEW later confirmed the bout, with the added twist that Okada’s Continental Championship will also be on the line, but only for the first 20 minutes of the bout, as Continental title bouts have 20-minute time limits, while World title bouts have 60-minute time limits.

Danielson has earned himself legendary status within AEW. He was one of the first major names to openly choose to work for Tony Khan and helped bring a level of legitimacy to the company.
