Howard freshman guard Blake Harper was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Year, the conference announced Tuesday evening in the Chrysler Hall during the third annual MEAC BBT Awards.

Diamond Johnson, a graduate student, was the Player of the Year after being named as the Player of the Week eight times. She is averaging a team-high 19.2 points per game and ranks second in the MEAC at 4.
