Sega launches a new account system featuring benefits and rewards for players, starting with Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

Sega has introduced a new unified Sega account system that gives you access to "exclusive bonuses", including a free Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii skin.

Those who create an account by March 7 will receive a special in-game costume in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. The costume in question is the Kazuma Kiryu Special Outfit, which lets Goro Majima dress up as the franchise's original protagonist. You can also get this same outfit by signing up for Sega's newsletter by February 25.

Sega has launched its own account service, simply called – wait for it – Sega Account. Users can sign up for free now via the official website, with the service promising to offer up unique rewards and benefits to those who play Sega and Atlus titles across all major platforms.

Sega has launched a new online profile designed to used across its games going forwards. Sega Account is described by the company as “an online profile that gives you access to a host of benefits when playing Sega and Atlus titles and using their online services”.

The SEGA account is now live, offering you cross-platform linking, exclusive bonuses, and new content for your favorite SEGA and ATLUS titles. Features up for grabs include a progress tracker and special DLC for the upcoming Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

Sega Account is available now and will eventually let players track their progress across all their Sega games in one place.
