How worried is Team Cuomo about the rise of Zohran Mamdani? If recent contributions to Andrew Cuomo’s super PAC, Fix the City, are any indication, it’s clear they are starting to sweat the 33-year-old socialist assemblyman.
Fare-free businesses should be the future. It would drive up bus and subway ridership and be an economic engine,” Transport Workers Union president John Samuelsen said.
The PAC said the image was released without its consent. A Cuomo spokesperson called the picture "absurd and disrespectful."
Zohran Mamdani, the socialist mayoral candidate for New York City, is catching up to Andrew Cuomo in the polls for the Democratic primary. Mamdani, 33, is currently a New York assemblymember and has been running a grassroots campaign largely against former Governor Cuomo.
Mamdani has missed more roll call votes in the Assembly this year – 231 – than any other member, according to vote tallies reviewed by The Post.
