The United States deported 119 people of different nationalities to Panama as part of an agreement between the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump and the Central American nation, Panama's President Jose Raul Mulino said on Thursday.

The U.S. is deporting unauthorized migrants from Africa and Asia to Panama, a major diplomatic breakthrough for the Trump administration's mass deportation efforts.

Panama received a total of 119 migrants from “the most diverse nationalities in the world” deported from the United States on the eve of the migrant crisis, to later return them on flights paid for by the US to their countries of origin,
