Police have arrested a fourth person in the hunt for robbers who stole valuable Romanian artefacts from the Drents Museum in Assen. The man, a 26-year-old from Heerhugowaard, was apprehended in Obdam in Noord-Holland province early on Thursday.
The deputy director of the National Museum of History of Romania, Cornel Ilie, recently stated that he has not given up hope of recovering the heritage objects - the Coțofenești Helmet and three Dacian gold bracelets - stolen from the Drents Museum in Assen.
A fourth person was arrested on Thursday in connection with the robbery of the Drents Museum in Assen last month. The gold artifacts stolen in the burglary have not been recovered, and the hunt for another key suspect is still ongoing.
