A new class offered at the New College of Florida will have students analyze the “woke” ideology and its impact on today’s culture. Taught by conservative commentator Andrew Doyle, the course is a sign of the continued changes since Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed new leaders to the public, Sarasota institution two years ago.

The course is part of the school's Independent Study Periods, which allow students to pursue a personalized study plan on any topic of interest.

“The Woke Movement,” which the New College of Florida says is an “independent learning opportunity,” will center on analyses of what it means to be “woke” and “unwoke,” school spokesperson Nathan March told The National News Desk (TNND) Thursday.
