Every year by late October, most of the NFL’s contenders are known. This year, the Patriots were no exception. The Pats soared to a 6-2 start, and earned their contender badge with ensuing wins over the Falcons and Bucs.

Drake Maye and the New England Patriots are rolling, and he knows it. He also likes the team's chances to make a run.

Credit certainly goes to Vederian Lowe and Ben Brown for holding the fort and protecting Maye’s blindside and to Garrett Bradbury for gutting it out while under the weather. But Maye is the straw who stirs the drink, and he was once again the ringleader of the Patriots successful band. He was his usual calm, cool and dazzling self in the pocket.
