A First Alert Weather Day is in effect Tuesday night through Wednesday in North Texas. A strong line of storms is expected to move through northern and western counties of North Texas overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Scattered severe storms with hail, damaging winds and flooding will be the primary threat.

Forecasters warned of damaging winds, hailstones bigger than baseballs and flash floods in parts of an area stretching from Texas to upstate New York.

It’s the end of April, early May, which means it’s time to stay weather aware. There will be several chances of strong to severe storms in the forecast over the next 48 hours across North Texas.
