Notre Dame moved up two spots in the AP Top 25 poll to No. 8 after beating Florida State 52-3. The Irish are back on some experts’ lists, too. Joel Klatt now has the Fighting Irish as No. 10 in his top 10, while Danny Kanell has the Irish as number 9 in his top 12.

While the game means little for Florida State, Notre Dame needs a win to keep marching toward a playoff spot in the 12-team field.

It officially became a blowout when Marcus Freeman called off the dogs. But even that wasn't enough to keep Notre Dame from continuing to dominate as a curtain call to a 52-3 victory over Florida State.
