Ramon Chavez-Rodriguez was charged with DWI in the death of a law enforcement officer and operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license.

"The City of St. Louis changed on Sunday. The SLMPD lost a dedicated police officer and beloved colleague," Chief Robert Tracy said.

Rodriguez, 24, was charged by the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office Monday with DWI death of a law enforcement or emergency personnel, exceed the speed limit by 16-19 miles per hour.
