Chef/owner Thomas Boemer said it was a tough day for him and everyone associated with the eatery, which was known for its crisp fried chicken, mac and cheese, burgers and other southern favorites.

Revival, a Twin Cities restaurant chain known for Southern fare, has closed all of its locations, the owners announced Monday on social media.

"It's an emotional day. There's always a risk of something like this when you own your own business. But it's not a reality you want to face," said co-owner Nick Rancone.

In a blow to Twin Cities foodies, Revival has announced it is closing all three of its restaurants in Minneapolis, St. Paul and St. Louis Park.
