Escaped Rockdale County inmate Timothy Shane was captured on Wednesday morning in Covington, according to the sheriff's office.
Timothy Shane, 52, escaped from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta on Dec. 1 while in deputy custody, the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office said.
Timothy Shane was re-captured nearly 40 miles from Grady Hospital in an abandoned home in Covington after a two-day manhunt.
