Fabric and craft retailer Joann is closing hundreds of stores after declaring bankruptcy, including four in the Houston area. Joann filed a motion in bankruptcy court to close more than 500 of its 800 stores in the U.

Hudson, Ohio-based Joann Inc., which is in the midst of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, plans to close nearly two-thirds of its 800 stores, according to documents filed with the court Feb. 12. The closure of approximately 530 locations includes 18 in Texas, four of which are in the Houston area:
