The CDC issued a Level 2 travel advisory for 32 countries where poliovirus is circulating, urging travelers to stay updated on polio vaccines and get booster shots to reduce the risk of infection.

LDWF Secretary Tyler Bosworth issued the declaration, which includes all of Ouachita Parish and portions of Lincoln, Jackson, Union, Morehouse, Caldwell and Richland parishes.
