Scotland's top law official has again defended her actions over memos sent to John Swinney about the criminal case against former SNP chief executive Peter Murrell.

Documents show the lord advocate first informed John Swinney that Peter Murrell had been charged with embezzlement in March.

It was the most politically sensitive out of 30 cases that the Crown Office has informed first ministers about over the last 22 years.
