The University of Alabama, the state’s largest flagship public university, is expected to name its next president today. Outgoing President Stuart Bell announced his retirement in January. He took his role in 2015.

"The future of the Capstone is incredibly bright," Peter Mohler said as he was introduced as UA's 30th president.

Peter Mohler has been at Ohio State since 2011 and held a number of roles at the university, including a stint as acting president.
