Arkansas State Police officials are providing more information on an investigation into a deadly officer-involved shooting that happened in Maumelle over the weekend.

Officials with the Arkansas State Police said that they have been called in to investigate the death of a Eudora man Sunday night.

The Arkansas State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Maumelle that occurred Saturday, according to a press release from the Maumelle Police Department.

Maumelle authorities requested the Arkansas State Police to conduct an investigation into the shooting. The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave, which is standard practice, pending the outcome of the investigation. The name of the person who was shot has not yet been released.
