A task force of fire, law enforcement and industry experts hopes to prevent something like this from happening again

ESPARTO, Calif. — Yolo County has declared a local health emergency following July's deadly fireworks explosion in Esparto, aiming to determine if hazardous materials remain in the area. Public Health Officer Dr. Aimee Sisson said the move is not intended to alarm residents but to bring state and federal experts in to test the soil, water and air.
