Southern Methodist University celebrated the start of conference play in its inaugural ACC season by upsetting Florida State and head coach Mike Norvell.

Mike Norvell and Florida State appear to be well on their way to another embarrassing loss. Florida State trailed just 14-9 at halftime, but things quickly unraveled in the second half for the Noles. SMU scored 28 of the next 35 points — including a pick-6 — to take a commanding fourth-quarter lead over Florida State.

Norvell left the door open when asked if he's considering a quarterback change to focus on the future of the position later in the press conference.

Florida State football offensive lineman Richie Leonard IV is out vs. SMU. The senior has played in all four games this season for the Seminoles (1-3) in his first year since transferring from Florida.

FSU hasn't had any luck on the injury front when it comes to their offensive line. Offensive tackles Darius Washington and Robert Scott Jr. have missed time already this season, leaving the Seminoles shorthanded.
