Shedeur Sanders’ slide down the NFL draft was the dominant story of the weekend with one of college football’s most high-profile players lasting until the fifth round.

Plenty of people have put their public support behind Sanders (none more than Mel Kiper Jr. on ESPN's Draft broadcast), and he got a surprisingly motivational pep talk from another Sanders on social media over the weekend, as KFC's Colonel Sanders had some words of wisdom for him.

Sanders was once projected to go as high as No. 1 overall, with No. 3 overall to the New York Giants seemingly as low as he could go.
