“Sinners,” which director Ryan Coogler filmed using Imax cameras, has been a force on premium screens. In Imax alone, the movie has added $12.3 million worldwide over the weekend, boosting its overall tally to $20.6 million. Those ticket sales represent 19% of the film’s overall gross.

Sinners” has generated an estimated $45 million at the box office, up from original projections of $40 million after an influx of moviegoers went to see the Ryan Coogler-directed film Saturday.

At its Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo, Lucasfilm recently shared details of its next two theatrical release features: The Mandalorian And Grogu, directed by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, debuting on May 22, 2026; and Star Wars: Starfighter, directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling, set for May 28, 2027.
