The Royal Ballet’s Light of Passage : mesmerisingly beautiful
Feb 21, 2025 · In Covenant, the middle piece, the curtain rises on a small boy marching on the spot centre-stage, dressed in white against a gorgeous backdrop in shades of rich red, with a tulle-like creamy cloud above. The effect is of a fiery dawn rising over a mountain-range as the night-mist disperses. Grigorian and Akhmetshina dazzle in a secular Norma
Feb 20, 2025 · At the heart of this production is Asmik Grigorian's riveting portrayal of Norma. On the subway home she texted, “I’m a fan of these costumes and sets. And the jester was fun!”
